[It's a lovely afternoon in the National Park. Trainers and Pokemon alike can be seen running, playing, battling, and basically having a grand old time in the warm summer sun. It's great stroll in the park or picnic weather!

Dist is getting in on both of those things. He's currently sitting on a park bench beneath the shade of a large tree, watching several of his Pokemon play in the grass across the walking path. He's recording this, so what can be seen on the 'Gear's feed is a Lilligant, a Vileplume, and a tiny Gothita all doing a Teeter Dance orchestrated by the Lilligant. After a few moments, the Vileplume and Gothita trip over themselves and fall, but judging from their laughing, they're having a good time.

When Dist turns the 'Gear around to face him, he's just shaking his head, smirking all the while. He's opted for sunglasses and casual dress clothes today. Even his Roserade sitting beside him has sunglasses. How classy.]

You know, I didn't realize it until recently, but my team has quite a few stunningly beautiful Pokemon on it. I didn't intend for that to happen, but I am most definitely not complaining! Have any of you noticed a trend amongst your teams? A common type, or feature?

I like to think that these trends say something about us. We all know that the Gym Leaders have their favored types, and their personalities often match those type preferences. By that logic, it's obvious why I have so many beautiful Pokemon on my team.

[...The narcissism is out in full force today, apparently.]

If you don't have an answer to my first question, perhaps this one will be more relevant for you: what do you consider to be the most beautiful Pokemon? Visual examples are not necessary but highly encouraged. I am looking for future team members, and it wouldn't hurt to have some inspiration!

As for my vote? Nothing matches the beauty and grace of Roserade and its evolutionary line.

[Sometime after Dist's video in the park, he posts another video from the labs in the Goldenrod base. He's wearing his usual lab attire now, sitting back in his floating chair with a pleased yet smug look on his face.]

Good evening, my fellow Rockets. This is Dist from the science department. I just wanted to make a general reminder to the new recruits and for those who may not be aware: the base here in Goldenrod has a rather active science department, and even if you're not a scientist, you are welcome to stop by at any time. We have plenty of projects going on that could use testing down the road, and we are more than happy to allow you field agents to test them out. If you would like a small taste of projects we have worked on in the past, I will attach my previous project for your viewing pleasure.

For those who participated in that project and tested out my metallic mutations, you have my thanks. Your testing yielded very interesting results. I do hope you enjoyed yourselves playing with a very different sort of Pokemon.

[He crosses his arms, his smirk growing wider all of the sudden. Apparently he's only just now getting to the good part.]

This applies more to those working in the science department, but it won't hurt to let you all know. I have recently been given a position of power, courtesy of our ever so gracious Admins. If you're looking to work in a productive environment that stresses excellent quality and produces opportunities to better yourself in the organization, I suggest you try working with me in Division D of the Research and Development department.

If that prospect interests you, do not hesitate to come find me in the labs. I have my own little section now; it shouldn't be too difficult to locate.

[The news of Dist's promotion had been incredibly welcomed by Kato; after all, the higher his partner climbed on the ladder, the more benefits he would receive, as well. Funnily enough, however, he can't really find it in himself to be jealous of his accomplishments and recognition. There was, of course, the mutual benefits, but he also...well, genuinely felt proud of him. It was an odd feeling, and one he wasn't really used to - the achievements of others had never mattered to him before, and yet now, he'd found it difficult to wipe a smile off his face all day. 

Maybe it was best to just go with and admit that Dist made him happy.

...how very...protagonist. Ew. Anyway, he's currently waiting off to the side for Dist to finish his broadcast. Once he does, Kato walks over, leaning against his chair and smirking.] 

I heard you were hiring. Any room for me in your division, Boss~?

[He can't help but laugh as he leans further back in his chair to look up at Kato. That smug smirk he was displaying in the video has turned into a soft smile. That's kind of become a trend when he's around Kato these days, especially with how supportive his partner had been about working toward this promotion. Now that he's finally earned it, he's pleased that he'll get to repay Kato for that support.]

I believe I can squeeze in an opening, just for you.

[He's kidding of course. Kato would've been the first choice to be in Dist's division any day.]

We're finally making some progress, Kato. It feels so...so satisfying to be in a familiar position again.

But Bug-type, is it? I wouldn't have expected that from your appearance. I get a Steel-type vibe from you, if I am to be completely honest. Perhaps it's your silver hair?

While the first one initially took her interest (she's always keen to hear about beautiful Pokemon, after all...), it's the second that she chooses to respond to.

She doesn't really know Dist, but she knows power when she sees it - and with great power comes great...salaries.

But Celes is quite pretty! He doesn't believe he's seen anyone quite like her before, clothing style and all. Her appearance is lovely, if not slightly eerie. She's just like a doll or something...

He returns her politeness with a pleasant smile of his own...which actually comes off as a little unnerving. When mad scientists are trying to be pleasant, you know something is wrong.]

I don't really have a common type, but all of my Pokemon have turned out really cute! But even if I didn't get a cute Pokemon, I'd still want to have him or her on my team anyway. Looks aren't everything, otherwise my wife might not have married me!

To begin with, she is a Pokemon, not a bush. [What does she look like, a Tangela? Heck no.] But yes, I did put a lot of effort and thought into caring for her. She is easily the most beautiful and powerful Pokemon on my team.

That said, I do realize that looks aren't everything. I have plenty of powerful but less-beautiful Pokemon on my team, but this is a general discussion about beauty for the fun of it.

The majority of my Pokémon are Normal-types. but I'm not sure I can say I noticed it when it was a deliberate choice and goal of mine.

[He's not sure how many there are, as he only has one of his own, but it has to be a pretty lofty goal, what with how many Pokemon exist in total.]

Is there something in particular that draws you to them? I know you said you didn't realize you were amassing a collection at first, but you must be a fan of them now.

I find that all Pokémon have their own sort of beauty, no matter what shape they have.

[Surprisingly, this is mostly sincere and not an attempt to keep the peace in his team. He just finds Muk's... potential beauty much harder to discern, that's all.]

That said, I find Milotics particularly lovely. Especially when they wear long flowy scarves in flattering colors. Those fit their shape perfectly.

I suppose I can see where you're coming from, but you have to admit that physically-speaking, some came out more fortunate than others. That is the point of my post, to find the most beautiful Pokemon out there.

I do agree that Milotics are very stunning, though! I have one of my own, though he is a different color than most other Milotics I have seen. I haven't been able to decide which color is the most beautiful.

[Beau's golden colors are nice, but there's something about that rosy pink in normal Milotics...]

I hadn't thought to put a scarf on him. Do they make waterproof garments for Pokemon?

Well, I'm sure you know my opinions on beauty, as far as Pokemon go... but I have to admit, Grass Pokemon do tend to be visually appealing, in most cases. It does make sense, but I'll admit that I'm a little fonder of Ghost Pokemon when it comes to my actual team's makeup... though, those can be fairly aesthetically pleasing as well.

It's true, the overall Grass type has a large amount of beautiful Pokemon. When your genetic makeup is modeled after flowers, you're not going to have much competition when it comes to natural beauty.

[And no one was surprised that Dist is out on a mission to collect all the flower Pokemon.]

Oh, I wasn't aware you had a large amount of Ghosts, Kayneth. Which of your Ghosts is your favorite? You may list multiple, if you'd rather not play favorites.

All the Pokemon I've had a choice of choosing for myself tend to be fire types... I actually came here with a Charmander and after that, well...

[My name is Garry and I have bad habits. As if to prove his point, a small Flareon leaps onto his lap, bumping its head up into Garry's palm. That seems to make him relax a bit.]

As for beautiful Pokemon, Haze certainly has a rather lovely coat. Rida wasn't initially mine, but I'd definitely say he has the most elegance out of all my Pokemon.

[Garry shifts the 'Gear to show off the Pokemon in question, a Gardevoir, watching over something else that's offscreen. He even holds himself up right, hands daintily folded in front of himself.]

[You know, Dist could say a lot of things about Garry's apparent pyromania, but he won't. Instead, he focuses on the pretty Pokemon he's showing off.]

All of Eevee's evolutions are beautiful, aren't they? I'm fond of Flareon's fluffy coat, myself. There is something very alluring about Glaceon's gaze as well... Now that you've gotten me thinking about them, I'm surprised I haven't captured an Eevee for myself!

[He'll have to get on that soon. But in the meantime, wow that is a pretty Pokemon.]

There really is something to be said about men with natural beauty, isn't there? In many cases, they shine brighter than the females! [He's totally not referencing himself or anything.] When I think of cases like that, Unfezant come to mind. Have you ever seen a male Unfezent next to a female one? It's admirable how the males will use their beauty to attract others to them.

I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure what I'd classify the music that Jigglypuff sung [because he's from 1964] but it certainly caught the attention of the populace wherever I took it.

With your promotion, it stands to reason that we could probably discuss the matters I mentioned to you before. I don't believe we'd be able to easily find some of the materials here, but it would certainly be something the Administrators would find useful, I do believe.

Ah, you have a good point there! I may have mentioned it at some point, I don't quite recall, but I intend to build a robot at some point. If I can successfully create that with this world's materials, I don't believe creating your missile device would be out of the realm of possibility.
