it made me heartless but i wasnt one of them
see back home we had two big things; heartless and nobodies
heartless were the things that went around stealing hearts from normal people like you and other normal people
nobodies are sort of... i dunno how to put it...

the empty shells of a human being, i guess? they got the body and theyve got the soul but theyre missing the thing that lets them feel things like happiness, sadness, anger, that kind of stuff but that doesnt mean we forget what its like.
most people end up getting all... weird looking, but if a person has a super strong will or something they still look human with some differences.
losing your heart sucks a lot more than getting eaten by some big sea monster that just swallows you whoole

So you were once a regular human, but lost your heart (I am going to assume this is metaphorically-speaking because living without a heart is impossible) to a heartless and became a shell of who you once were? Do I have that correct?

man that reminds me i really should apologize to that new guy. i cant remember if i put it in the report i had to write but that metapod kinda... broke a guy's foot. i dropped it by accident when i was talking to him
